Tailored To…

This project is a response to the 2026 ISTD brief of Trade, which explores tailoring through typography, using Times New Roman as a visual tool. A series of four A0 posters responds to the key principles of fit, style, sustainability, and durability, combining to form the word “tailoring” as a unified system. Enlarged letterforms are reworked into sewing pattern–like structures, using stitch lines and construction markings to transform type into a form of garment blueprint.

The posters fold into smaller leaflets, referencing traditional pattern formats and introducing a physical, interactive element. Overall, the project shows how typography can embody the principles of tailoring, positioning Times New Roman as an adaptable, precise, and enduring design system.
